Welcome back to another episode I got the birds over me it's early morning out here in Cali, as you can see the blue skies, but anyways, welcome back to another episode of swamp Amelie fitness and financials I'm gonna first take time out to say.
Thank you to everybody that clicks on the videos, take time out of a busy day to watch it in that like comment or subscribe and and turn it on that notification bill.
So your updated whenever I, upload a new video, no now, I know, this video may come across as a little bit as click bait or cringe-worthy.
As my son, tell me a lot of my titles are, but I felt like it was a necessary subject to talk about, especially for fathers who feel like we are very unfairly treated in the court system when it comes to visitation rights and paying child support for a child.
So I've noticed that a lot of my videos are only getting about two or three minutes of watch time.
Come out.
We got to get that up trial.
It was time to stick through I'll, tell it into the video I'll, give out a lot of very good information.
But if you're here for quick synopsis, these are the three ways you can avoid paying child support one is by having primary physical custody of your child right? And then you don't have to pay child support two is by having a court order where you and the co-parent share 50/50 joint custody of the child.
If you have an agreement in place that you both will split the financial responsibilities, 50/50 with neither one of you paying support to each other.
And the third one is, you have a very bad relationship with the person you co-parent with.
And you get them to agree to you, not paying child support and will probably entirely to you not having a relationship with your child.
Unfortunately, that's the current situation that I'm in.
So if you were here for just a quick synopsis, there, you go, hopefully that was helpful, but if you're looking for more detailed information, I'll get into that part of it now.
So for everybody that knows them, personally, you know that I have three kids one from a prior relationship to meeting my wife that I've been in a relationship with for the past 14 years and us having two children together.
My oldest daughter is 15 soon to be 16.
And she still resides out of state.
Unfortunately me and her mother didn't have the best of relationships where we decided to bring a child into this world, which in turn bled over into my relationship with my daughter.
So I was an active father for the better part of nine years and Paige, how support attended sporting events and did everything active love and father would do.
And it was a struggle right? Long story short.
It was a struggle.
You know for nine and a half years I ended up going back and forth to court.
Finally, for my visitations, getting court order after court order I would go to pick up my child be denied, my visits and at something or at that, nine and a half year mark, my child's mother decided to up and move out of state, illegally.
And with that I didn't petitioned her back to court to try to have her be ordered to move back to New York State, which is where I resided at the time.
And the courts informed me that they couldn't necessarily make her move back, but I could still continue.
My visitation on an altered schedule, which I obviously felt like was very unfair.
So my solution to that problem was I made, the court and her an offer that if she was gonna be allowed, to move out of state that I would then be allowed to no longer be required to pay child support.
And to my amazement, she agreed.
So I, haven't, paid child support for almost six years.
Right so for a little over five years now and if you know me you, know, I enjoy being a dad.
You know, I, love being an active.
Father so I.
Would gladly pay? Child support in order to have a happy and healthy relationship with my child? Unfortunately, that's not the case.
So over the last two and a half years, I've been semi-active and trying to become a mainstay in my daughter's life again and it's been a rocky road.
Now, I know, a lot of people are gonna go.
Maybe this is the inappropriate video.
You know, my daughter will come across this video at some point in time.
Her friends will come across this video at some point in time.
But as I said, I, believe in being transparent I want to get information out there.
And hopefully this will reach my daughter and help her better understand that I do and would like to be a part of her life.
You know, it's it's, not always the easiest thing and everybody, you know, as I said, can be comments or questions down below, and let me know your thoughts and opinions.
And even you know, give me advice because as I said, I'm, not perfect I grew up, not knowing my father.
So I know how important you know having a father is in a child's life.
And is the reason why I still struggle to be a part of my daughter's life.
Now, I'm, not sitting here, saying, you know, I've done everything right, I've been the best as far as reaching out, or you know, just being perfect in general I just know that it's possible to not pay child support right.
Now, I know, a lot of guys clicked on this video I was like, yes, one for the guys one for the dads, but that truly isn't.
What this video is about I'm, literally here to let, you know, it's always better to pay child support.
If you all a child into this world, you are responsible.
And you should take the responsibility of taking care of that child.
And raising that child, regardless to whether or not the the government or your state makes you pay child support or not right so to click on a video and think that I'm an advocate for not paying child support that's that would be an inaccurate take away from this video to click on a video I think that I'm like in support of people, not paying child support that would also be an inaccurate takeaway from this video I, truly believe, if you have a child, you are responsible for taking care of that child.
Ok, I want to be very clear on that.
If you have a child, you should not be looking to avoid taking care of that child.
If that's the case you shouldn't have children going blank period, that's, my stance that's, my belief, my opinion on that will never change and I'm, not going to go ahead and make this video.
Extra long, I, just want to turn tap in and let.
You know that it's possible to not pay child support.
You know, again, I would love to have a healthy relationship with my daughter.
And if I could pay child support to to have a healthy relationship with my daughter I would do that in a heartbeat.
So again, I just want to thank everybody for tuning in don't.
Forget hit that like comment, subscribe even turn on that notification, Bell share the video and I'll be back to you real soon with an update plan on being as transparent as possible when it comes to everything in my life, whether it be family, fitness, financials, whatever the case may be.
So with that being said, I'll, check in with you guys next time, if you could comment, and let me know what kind of video you want to see next more parenting videos.
Would you like to see me do a review of the car video, a refinance video, or would you like to see me goofing off with with my acting crazy? Video, right? I'll just call it that.
So again, I appreciate everybody for taking time out a day I catch you on the next one, smart family, fitness and that'll be about it.
